Spoon fans have been waiting patiently for a new record ever since 'Transference' came out in 2010. Lately, the band has been capitalizing on its fans' patience by releasing teasers of what we are left to assume are bits of new songs.

They released a short homemade video featuring what sounded very much like a Spoon song back on March 10. Now the band's at it again, albeit not quite as vague this time. They just released a bit of an unnamed song, along with a short video that may have cost as much to produce as the song did.

The band released the above video today to announce some major shows that will be part of their upcoming tour this summer. On Aug. 8, they'll be playing at the illustrious Fairbanks Lawn of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. This is their first full U.S. tour since 2012. The tour starts tomorrow at the Minglewood Hall in Memphis, and also includes some dates in Europe.

While there's no official word yet on when we'll get our grubby little hands on a new Spoon album, we're told there is one in the works. Back in March, a tweet from the band's official Twitter page dropped a pretty obvious hint:
