Spoon released a "teaser" (and we mean that in the most literal way possible) for their upcoming album, supposedly due out this year. The teaser is a 26-second camera-phone-quality video featuring part of what most definitely sounds like a Spoon song. It's a short, bittersweet taste of the first new music from the band since 2010's 'Transference.'

Instagramming studio pictures, getting die-hard fans worked up. Then yesterday they tweeted this:

Between this upcoming Spoon record and the last, frontman Britt Daniel has been busy with his other group, Divine Fitts. They don't seem to be slowing down at the moment either. Divine Fitts just recorded two new songs and will head out on a U.S. tour this summer.
