2015 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival - Weekend 1 - Day 1
loading...

Weekend one of Coachella went down this past weekend in Indio California and it just so happened the event was taking place during the final days of tax season. So naturally a handful of people thought it would be a brilliant idea to bring all their sensitive financial information to the music festival and mail it out in the middle of the huge music festival. I mean what would a festival experience be without the threat of losing all that sensitive information in a sea of dusty hipsters?

Apparently the Coachella festival has a Lincoln Log type cabin called the "Post Office" on the festival grounds and According to Consequence of Sound people could send Coachella post cards to their friends and family from the festival with a fancy Coachella seal or stamp of some sort on it. What these bright folks failed to realize was that the "post office" wasn't an actual Unites States Postal Service location. In reality it was some Coachella employees maybe even volunteers that would take the post cards to the actual post office and legally they could not take their taxes.

I'm still a bit confused on why you would want that kind of information to travel with you to a music festival and why you wouldn't drop that sort of thing off before you left home but hopefully they were able to find some wifi and file for an extension.
