Watch the So So Glos Perform ‘Son of an American’

Brooklyn punks the So So Glos got their start in 2007, but it was their 2013 album, 'Blowout,' that built the wave of buzz they're currently riding.

Brothers Alex and Ryan Levine, along with their stepbrother Zach Staggers, got into New York's punk scene at an early age. They even opened an all-ages venue in Brooklyn to give other kids a chance to hear live music. Their reputation among that scene helped cement their standing as one of today's best punk bands.

The band stopped by our friends at Consequence of Sound to perform an electrified version of their great song 'Son of an American.' The video is part of the #NextUp series presented by Dodge, which highlights emerging artists to watch. Watch it above.

The group also sat down for a chat, in which they discussed everything from hanging out together as little kids and Brooklyn's DIY scene to alternate job prospects and the band's future. You can watch the video interview below.
