Snow Emergencies – February 5 2014
With the impending snow storm comes several cities and townships declaring Snow Emergencies, here’s the updated latest list.
Amsterdam – No parking will be allowed on any city street starting at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, February 4th. The emergency continue for the duration of the storm. Parking on Prospect Street is limited to the UPPER LOT ONLY (between Market and Elizabeth St.)
Village of Athens – Alternate side of the street parking will be in effect. Starting at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014, vehicles must be parked on the odd side of the street. At 6:00 p.m., each day, all vehicles must move to the opposite side of the street until the streets are cleared or the emergency is lifted.
Greenport – Beginning midnight on 2/4 and ending at noon on 2/6. No parking on streets or your car will be ticketed and towed.
Hudson – Beginning Tuesday 2/4/14 at 8:00 PM and ending Thursday 2/6/14 at 4:00 PM. On Tuesday at 8 p.m., there is NO parking on EVEN side of the street for 24 hours. Starting Wed. at 8 p.m., there is NO parking on ODD side. Snow Emergency ends on Thursday at 4 p.m., snow removal begins on Friday 2/7 at 12 AM. No parking on the EVEN side, park on the ODD side. Snow removal continues on Saturday 2/8 at 12 AM. No parking on the ODD side, park on the EVEN side.
Mechanicville – Beginning February 5, 2014 at 8am. At this time, all city residents should have their vehicles parked on the EVEN side of the streets for the first 24 hours. Commencing on February 6, 2014 at 8am, all vehicles should then be moved to the ODD side of the street. Any questions can be directed to the City of Mechanicville Dept. of Public Works at 664-7171 or the Mechanicville Police Department at 664-7383.
Menands – There is NO PARKING on any Village Streets beginning at midnight Tuesday, February 4 and ending Friday, February 7 at noon. Parking is available at Ganser Smith Park and Menands Library.
Pittsfield, MA – Beginning 11 p.m. on Tuesday until 7 a.m. on Thursday. During that time no vehicle is permitted to be parked or stand unattended on any street or way that the city plows – except North Street between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Vehicles are also not allowed to be parked or stand unattended in any municipal parking lot between midnight and 7 a.m.
Saratoga Springs – Beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. All vehicles in violation of the City’s Snow Emergency parking regulations are subject to being ticketed and/or towed at owner’s expense.
- Beginning at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, all vehicles on City Streets (except alternate side parking streets), must be moved to a plowed or cleared area. Accordingly, all vehicles must be moved every twelve (12) hours thereafter until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014.
- Except for those streets posted for alternate side parking, it shall be unlawful to park or stand a motor vehicle for any continuous period of time in excess of 12 hours
Nassau – Parking on all streets is prohibited. Residents and visitors are reminded to make sure all vehicles are off roadways and right-of-ways in advance of this snow event and must be removed by midnight. Please take further notice that the stationing of vehicles on town roadways related to the Loeffel Toxic Waste Site remediation project is also prohibited at this time.
Rensselaer – Beginning Wed. Feb. 5 at 8 a.m. No parking on the ODD side of streets for a 24 hour period. After 24 hours, there will be no parking on the EVEN side of the street.
Schodack – Beginning on Wednesday at 12 a.m. and ending on Thursday at 12 a.m. No on street parking is permitted during this time.
Stillwater – There will be no parking on streets until further notice. If anyone has any questions they can contact 664-8475.
Village of Waterford – Beginning 9:00 AM Wednesday February 5, 2014 until all streets are plowed and pushed back. Any vehicles not moved or interfering with snow plowing operations on Village streets or the Village parking lot will be towed at owners expense.
Alternate side parking is not in effect in the Village of Waterford
Waterford – Beginning 9:00 am Wednesday February 5, 2014 until further notice. Residents are asked to park in their driveways and to follow all posted alternate parking signs. Those who are non-compliant will be ticketed and towed.
