Some of today's oldest and best heavy metal bands have some odd merchandise featured on their sites. Slayer, especially is known for this, as they have their own line of condoms, and for Valentine's Day had a candy jar filled with evil candy available for purchase. Now, the 31-year-old quartet have gotten their own piece of jewelry: a hand-crafted, genuine sterling silver Slayer ring.

The band have collaborated with The Great Frog jewelry company, which is set in Carnaby, London. They have been making rock jewelry since 1972, and Slayer is their newest client.

The SLAYER ring will be made from solid sterling silver and hand-crafted in London. Each ring will be engraved with its own limited edition number and will be available for pre-order from today, online or from any of The Great Frog's three stores in London, New York or Los Angeles.

The ring's promotional video can be seen below:

On February 24, the ring's official launch will be celebrated at The Great Frog's New York store:

The Great Frog says in a press release: For years The Great Frog has been fortunate enough to work alongside some of the biggest rock bands in the world. This month The Great Frog have teamed up with SLAYER to create this awesome piece of metal history.

What do you think of the Slayer ring?
