Congrats to Slash, whose latest effort ‘Apocalyptic Love’ debuted at No. 4 this week on the Billboard 200 album chart with 38,000 copies sold in its first week of release.

The guitar great, who teamed up with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators for this record, earned his second straight Top 10 as a solo artist. Slash’s first disc, a self-titled release that featured a number of guest vocalists, debuted at No. 3 back in 2010.

‘Apocalyptic Love’ is off to a great start worldwide, as it debuted at No. 1 in New Zealand, and was also a Top 5 release in Sweden, Switzerland and Australia. During his career, Slash earned No. 1 albums with Guns N’ Roses‘ ‘Appetite for Destruction’ and ‘Use Your Illusion II,’ and with Velvet Revolver‘s ‘Contraband.’

Elsewhere on the charts, the Cult‘s ‘Choice of Weapon’ debuted at No. 34 with 11,000 copies sold and Kill Devil Hill‘s self-titled debut release landed at No. 9 on the Heatseekers chart of top new artist albums with 1,800 copies sold.
