Transformers 3, one of the big blockbuster films of this summer has a song from Q103 Q-Ruption performer, Skillet on the soundtrack.  Lead singer John Cooper was interviewed recently by Mlive.com about writing for the soundtrack among other things.

On the soundtrack of the new film "Transformers: Dark of the Moon.",  Skillet contributed its remix cut "Awake and Alive."  Purchase the remix on itunes here.

Cooper noted the soundtrack accomplishment for the band.

Five years ago, there was a lot of rock music in films,But, these days, it seems as if it's all ballads and R&B.

Among other topics covered in the interview, says his favorite Skillet tune is "Rebirthing," But his favorite to perform is the upbeat and hard-edged "Monster," which seems to perfectly suit his throaty vocals supplemented with a stage presentation of pyrotechnics, steam blasts and flame jets.
