Now, mind you this is a Japanese company doing this but the thought is something many have been thinking of for ages. Should this be brought to the Capital Region?

So what the company is exactly doing, they are awarding employees who happen to not smoke time off. Reason? Well that is to account for the time that people who smoke get paid for a smoke break. I feel like maybe 6 days is a bit much but I am sure over in Japan the workers are not complaining. There is another positive to this, it may make smokers quit.

Now I vape myself, but I bet I wouldn't be awarded the time off seeing as I do still step outside with the regularity of a smoker. This is still a great concept and one that I believe could work not only here in the Capital Region but nationwide as well. People are always complaining how smokers get paid to go step outside for 5-10 minutes a couple times a day.

What do you think about this? If you are a smoker would this be an incentive to quit smoking?
