There's tons of speculation that the official trailer for 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' will make its premiere in theaters tomorrow, when '300: Rise of an Empire' opens. Makes sense, since both works come from the mind of comics genius Frank Miller.

But the first snippet of the 'Sin City' sequel, which opens on Aug. 22, just showed up online, and it's killer. You can watch it above.

The brief trailer -- it doesn't even run a minute and a half -- is nonetheless packed with plenty of cool teases for the movie, a follow-up to 2005's outing, which, like 'A Dame to Kill For,' was co-directed by Miller and Robert Rodriguez.

For starters, we get an eyeful of returning stars Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke, as well as newcomer Ray Liotta. And like its predecessor, it's shot in stunning black and white with some stylized splashes of color thrown in for texture.

'A Dame to Kill For''s stories are set in the timeline before, during and after the events that take place in the first movie. And like the 2005 film, the new one is broken up into chapters adapted from Miller's 'Sin City' graphic novel (in particular, the 'Dame' volume), as well as his 'Booze, Broads & Bullets' short-story comic and two new tales written specifically for the screen.

'Sin City' is one of our favorite movies of the past decade, so we're totally excited for 'A Dame to Kill For,' especially since much of the creative team -- both in front and behind the cameras -- is back. And because Rodriguez has said that he's sticking even closer to Miller's original vision this time around, we have good feelings about this one. Plus, Alba is back dancing onstage. So how bad can it be?
