Fifty-seven percent support a legislative ban on talking on a mobile device while driving.
Opinion is close to unanimous when it comes to texting and driving — 90 percent of the poll’s respondents want that outlawed. It is currently illegal to text and drive in 39 states, as well as Washington, DC.
