Shots Fired In Schenectady, Police Make Two Arrests

Two men where arrested after the police received a report of shots fired near the curbside memorial at 1633 Becker St.Christopher N Perez, 17 and David L. Ramos, 20 were both arrested on assorted charges none of which were weapon charges.

Officers arrested and charged Christopher N. Perez, age 17, of Schenectady with:

One count of Resisting Arrest,

Two counts of Disorderly Conduct,

One count of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

Officers also arrested and charged David L. Ramos, age 20, of Schenectady with:

One count of Resisting Arrest,

One count of Disorderly Conduct.

When the police arrived on the scene they found over 200 people blocking access to the street. Help was called in from surrounding departments and other police agencies including Rotterdam, Glenville, Niskayuna, Schenectady County Sheriff's and the N.Y. State Police . As of right now there are not other details.
