A Schenectady man who had been charged with falsely reporting an incident involving swastikas spray-painted on his home, has posted bail after spending nine days in jail.

According to The Daily Gazette, 54 yr old Andrew King who we had first reported about on March 21 where he had claimed that he found two swastikas spray-painted on his Chiswell Road home, has finally posted $500 bail. He was arrested on March 20 when police had concluded that King put them there himself. Police charged him with a misdemeanor and he also faces an additional charge of harassment not related to the same incident. Prosecutors offered him a plea deal of 15 days in jail and 3 years probation for a guilty plea in both cases, an offer that is expected to remain open until King's next court appearance. King collapsed during a court appearance last week and was removed from the building by paramedics. He is also claiming that he sustained injuries by the police officers. He can be seen with bruises and swelling under both eyes in his mug shot. His mug shot can be seen here courtesy of The Daily Gazette.

Overall, this is a very strange Capital Region area story that we will continue to follow closely.
