Capital Region local Sawyer Fredericks is bringing his 'Hide Your Ghost' tour to the Capital Region this weekend and he called into the Q to fill us in on the show, the new album, and what he's been up to recently ...

Technically I suppose he may be from just outside the Capital Region but he's been performing in and around the area since he was just a kid. When his talents were recognized nationally when he competed on season 8 of NBC's The Voice all of Upstate New York (and the country) rallied behind him to show their support. Then when he took home the WIN we all couldn't be happier for him.

It's been a few years and a couple of albums since Sawyer Fredericks won the reality competition and he has been busy. Busy playing shows and making music. Sawyer is getting ready to play again for the Capital Region this weekend on his 'Hide Your Ghost' tour and called into the Q this week to talk about it.

I got a chance to chat a bit with him about Upstate New York and the Capital Region. What he's been up to since and has taken away from his time on the competition. Mostly we talked about his new record 'Hide Your Ghost' that showcases the storytelling and sound that is all Sawyer. You can listen to our full conversation below.

You can check out Sawyer Fredericks LIVE in the Capital Region when the 'Hide Your Ghost' tour makes a stop at The Egg in Albany this Sunday, October 28th! Tickets are on sale and available you can grab yours for $29.50 by clicking here.
