I was never a Girl Scout, and never had the desire to be one. I found the whole thing to be creepy and brain washing and an excuse to make friends and do good things. I did however love to indulge on their delicious cookies, especially Thin Mints and those delicious peanut butter ones. Well, the organization is celebrating its 100th year this year, and to mark the occasion they are releasing a brand new cookie, Savannah Smiles.

The new cookie was named after the hometown of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts, states the article.

Celebrate the anniversary of the Girl Scouts with these bite-sized, lemon-wedge cookies dusted in powdered sugar and bursting with lemon flavor. Enjoy these delightful treats, remember where Girl Scouts began ...and smile.

Each year, thousands of Girl Scouts visit the founder's historical home, a National Historic Landmark in Savannah. In the time-worn rooms, each girl considers how, 100 years later, Juliette Low's story encourages her to dream big and do great things with her life.

That's why we are so proud to offer this special cookie that will delight customers and remind girls of their rich heritage and unlimited future.

The cookies will be manufactured by Little Brownie Baker's and available in most regions. Go here for more information and to order.
