Robert Griffin III Will Be First NFL Player With Roman Numerals On Jersey

Usually when someone has a suffix or numerals after their name, they just toss them aside.  Not Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.  He's committed to them.

The NFL draft came down to, two big names this year.  Andrew Luck, and Robert Griffin III.  Griffin's jersey for the Redskins is going to be an NFL first.  He will have his III on the back along side of his last name.

According to Yahoo sports, the NFL changed it's rules to allow players to use a suffix or numerals on the jerseys. Some think that RG3's use of numerals goes deeper than just loving his name.  He signed an endorsement deal with Adidas, whose symbol just happens to be three stripes. Perhaps it's a money thing.  Lets hope not.
