The brand new Rivers Casino in Schenectady brought in $3 million in gross gaming revenues in it's opening week, according to reports.

The Times Union says despite snowfall in the Capital Region area, the new casino saw $3 million in revenues according to a weekly report from the New York Gaming Commission. A spokesperson stated, " The first days of operation at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady have been extremely successful, and we're very pleased with feedback we've heard from our guests and the enthusiasm shown by the community. Our dedicated team members are continually making improvements to operations and the guest experience in these opening days, and the excitement exhibited by our guests, continues to drive us to always provide a superior entertainment experience."

We reported details about the $330 million casino and it's upcoming opening date last month and it's good to see that the casino is off to a great start. We'll hafta get out and gamble soon!
