According to upi.com, 16 time world Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair will be inducting Sting into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. The ceremony takes place April 2 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas as part of the Wrestlemania week festivities.

UPI reported back in January that Sting was the first name to be announced as a 2016 inductee. He joins The Godfather and The Fabulous Freebirds this year. The 56 year old Sting made his in-ring debut with the Ultimate Warrior in 1985 as part of The Blade Runners and eventually moved onto singles action as a popular wrestling star in World Championship Wrestling. In the 1990’s, Sting had memorable feuds with stars like “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. Sting also had a run with TNA wrestling in the 2000’s and finally showed up in WWE in 2014. Sting’s only matches in the WWE were in 2015 against Triple H at Wrestlemania 31 in and with Seth Rollins at Night of Champions.

As a big wrestling fan, and a fan of both Ric Flair and Sting, this is great news. I've got one thing to say...Wooooo!
