We got a little taste of spring on Monday but we knew that it wasn't going to last long. While we have had a little bit of rain over the last couple of days the real heavy stuff is slated to begin starting tomorrow.

Even though it has only been a small amount of rain that we have got so far this week when you couple that with the melting snow it is starting to make some water levels around the Capital Region rise to flooding levels. According to the TU so far there has been minor flooding in Troy and Waterford due to water levels rising on the Hudson and Mohawk rivers.

With heavy rains expected tomorrow and Friday the National Weather Service has issued flood advisory's and warnings for parts of the Capital Region including Troy, Waterford,  Cohoes, Watervliet, Latham, Green Island, Halfmoon, Shakers, Verdoy, Boght Corners, Crescent, Grays Corners, Dunsbach Ferry, Crescent Station and Mohawk View.

So if you are living in one of these trouble spots you might want to prepare you basements and check your sump pumps! Also, plan accordingly for you day to day travel! Let's get through this rain and bring on the sunshine and warm weather!
