Q103 had the chance to speak to guitarist Steve Hackett about music, the road, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Steve Hackett has been keeping busy with a great music career that started with Genesis. He's also had a solo career and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Genesis in 2010. He's got a new live cd/dvd out and and a tour that plays the NY area. Check out full interview above.

Genesis formed out of Godalming, Surrey England in 1967. Steve Hackett was part of the early years of Genesis during their most progressive rock period from 1971-1977. Hackett played on six studio albums and three live albums before pursuing a solo career. He would go on to co-found supergroup GTR with Yes guitarist Steve Howe in 1986. The band only lasted two years but they found some success with their self-title debut album GTR and the Top 20 single "When the Heart Rules the Mind".
