Greg Allman's final album 'Southern Blood' drops this Friday, Q103 got a chance to talk with the albums producer Don Was ahead of the album release to get a glimpse at what it was like to make an album that essentially tells the story of Greg's life.

This Friday, September 8th 2017 Greg Allman's new and final album 'Southern Blood' becomes available across all music platforms. Q103 Candace got a chance to talk a bit with the Don Was the albums producer ahead of it's release to discuss what it was like to make a record knowing that it could very well be his last.

We talked a bit about how Don knew going into recording the record the state of Greg's health, about how Greg named him the producer of the project before he even asked him, how the collection of songs were carefully chosen and what they meant to Greg, and the intense emotions that filled the studio as they recorded and that is just the tip of the iceberg.You can listen to our full interview below and pick up the new record on Friday!
