A popular music venue and restaurant in the Capital Region will be closing Monday after nearly 25 years.

According to The Daily Gazette, One Caroline in Saratoga Springs is closing today (Monday). The venue posted the news on social media this past Friday afternoon. See posting below.

According to One Caroline General Manager Jakob Moore, owner Brian Kelley lives in California and can't put the attention into the business that he'd like due to his busy family life. He had a child in the fall and he realized that the business needs someone else to keep it going in the right direction. "The space has potential to last another 25 years" Moore said, adding that there are tons of really talented musicians in the area and that the town needs to hold onto a place that supports local musicians. One Caroline typically hosted musicians that played original music.

What are your thoughts on One Caroline closing after almost 25 years? Any fond memories of the venue? Let's hope someone takes it over soon.
