Police are Cracking Down This Weekend on Drinking & Drugged Driving

The police are cracking down, and it's going beyond just drunk driving for the holiday.  News Channel 13 reported that local law enforcement and state police have come together to announce that they are cracking down starting this weekend for the holiday on both drunk and drugged driving.  It's not just alcohol that impairs drivers, and not even just opiates.  Yes the opiate epidemic is huge and vast and tragic, but the police are even looking for things outside of that.  Marijuana, synthetic marijuana, and benzos (think Xanax and Ativan) are all things that can impair driving.  Basically, it looks like the message this year is going beyond just the basic 'Don't drink and drive.'  Don't use and drive either, because the police will be on the lookout to keep the streets safe.
