Pokemon Go has exploded and If you're playing it on the regular you should know where some new places to search in the Capital Region are.

I actually myself downloaded the app out of nostalgia but it has become addicting like I'm sure it did for you as well. I am a measly level 9 but have found quite a few cool spots to search for Pokemon all across the Capital Region. Some were through my own explorations and others were through a very helpful Reddit thread.

Now what I know about the app is that high volume areas usually are loaded with Poke-stops. Here are some other places maybe you should consider

  • Rivers
  • Parks
  • Cemeteries
  • Nature Trails
  • Bike Trails
  • Historic Landmarks

Now yes, I am sure you already knew about a few of those but I've personally noticed a lot of people about how active cemeteries are. I frequent Oakwood Cemetery in Troy which has to have at least 20-30 Poke-stops alone plus four or five gyms. Also a place to consider is the Albany Pine Bush. Very scenic and home to quite a few Poke-stops as well.

Either way, get out there, be active and remember catch em' all!! Just because it brings back memories here is the original theme song for Pokemon Indigo League for you enjoyment.
