Pizza Wars Winner Announced Today

So you waited in the line, tried all the pizza and put in your votes.  They are being tallied up and at 5pm today we will announce the public's vote best pizza in the Capital Region!

Now we always expect a great turnout for our events, but last night blew our minds!  Over 1,700 people showed for Q103's Pizza Wars 2011.  Lines were out the door of Proctors Theater in Schenectady and capacity was reached multiple times.  I would like to apologize to anyone who got turned away near the end, but with the overwhelming response we got we just ran out of time and almost pizza!

There was a constant flow of pizza delivery guys coming in and out all night long.  So with that being said you are probably wondering where all your votes went.  They are being counted and at 5pm today the public's opinion will be heard!  You voted for it, so make sure your listening.  I know that pizza places around the Capital Region gained some pretty big exposure last night, so I see a boost in business for them.  With the attendance from last night you can only imagine that Pizza Wars 2012 will be even bigger than this year. Now our 3 judges did select their overall picks.  Top honors went to Scotia's Fifth and Fifty Pizzeria for the Greek and chicken parm pies.  We may need to rent out the New Meadowlands stadium to fit you all in next year!
