It's been a busy week for this Q103 Rock Girl, but I wanted to blog quickly to let all of you readers and listeners know what I've been up to!

After heading back to New York from visiting my fiance on tour, I headed right to the station to model in a photo shoot for the Q103 'Rock Your Stockings' contest!  What a fun experience getting to pose with some of the GREAT prizes that the station has in store for the winners.  You can head over to our 'contests' section to find out more details and exactly how to enter to win.  This week we're giving away a 'Rockstar' snowboard signed by Korn, and an ornament signed by Skillet.  Basically, every prize that I got to hold during the photo shoot, I wanted to run straight out the door with! There are some very cool autographed prizes in store, so stay tuned and keep an eye on our site for upcoming information!

After the photo shoot this week, I also got to sit down this week with Tigman and record my first ever on air Rock Girl update!!! My on-air updates can be caught at 5:40 on Fridays with Tig, so make sure to tune in to listen to updates on what I've been up to each week!

My last exciting rock-related course of action this week was to do some holiday shopping. Which Included getting my hands on some tickets to go see Architects in April at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City!!! There are no words to convey my excitement about seeing these heavy UK rockers live.  I've been a HUGE fan of theirs, and when I saw the tour get announced, I had to jump on a chance to see them.  The tour starts off in February in Ukraine, and works it's way across the world to the United States [where I get to catch them] and ends back in the UK where the band originates from.  The band unfortunately faced tragedy this past summer when their guitarist Tom Searle passed away at the age of 28 after a battle with cancer, so it's really great to see these guys back on the road after going through something so difficult.  The band released a statement at the time and continue to reflect on their guitarist, and rather than paraphrasing anything [as it was asked directly on their facebook page for journalism outlets not to do so], I will direct you all to the band's facebook page and website to follow their journey and get more insight. www.architectsofficial.com

Coming up this week, I'll be packing to fly to Tampa to see Shinedown and Five Finger Death Punch.  Stay tuned- I can't wait to let you all know how the show goes!
