It's time to get out, get active, and start moving!

I know a lot of us are in the same spot we've been inn for months ... in doors. Now while we lucked out on the snow front this year it was still pretty darn cold all winter. Well, the sun is finally deciding to grace us with it's presence on a more regular basis so we can finally start coming out of hibernation.

Bike to Work Day seems like a great place to start (at least for those of us that haven't already) and it just so happens to be tomorrow (May 20th) and to top it all off it looks like the weather is going to be perfect! According to the TU "the morning rush-hour will be around 50 degrees and temperatures will rise to around 75 degrees with the evening commute in the 60s".

So aside from getting out and enjoying the outside world you'll also be getting in some exercise and helping the environment out bit too. Apparently there's a whole event going on too where the Capital District Transportation Committee and Bikeatoga are sponsoring a workplace challenge for employers in the Capital Region and have some people biking as much as 80 miles.

Mayor's across the region have gotten in on the fun to going so far as to put up a friendly wager of donuts and tulips on the line.

If I didn't have to somehow make it to the station and Rock'N Derby in a timely fashion I would be so in to try this. Oh, and if I owned a bike ... that might help too.
