The rumor winds that Ace Frehley will rejoin KISS have been whipping around since April of 2016. While the Space Ace recently commented that the reunion "could be great" if handled properly, it seems that Paul Stanley feels there's no situation here to even handle.

Word that a reunion was in the works ignited when Stanley appeared on Frehley's covers album, Origins Vol. 1, performing on the Free song "Fire and Water." In a new interview with Billboard, the Starchild swiftly nixed the notion of Ace's return to KISS. "No. And that's not coming from any place of animosity," said Stanley when asked if there was a possibility of any original members, not just Frehley, coming back.

"I sang on Ace's most recent album and did a video with him. I have the connection and the reconnection and to celebrate the good things we've done together is terrific," Stanley acknowledged. Content with the current lineup, the frontman added, "The band as it is — I've played with Eric Singer for I think 25 years and Tommy's [Thayer] been in the band probably 15 years at this point. I have no thoughts of revisiting the past. With that said I am happy to enhance or do whatever I can for anyone who has helped put me where I am, but that doesn't include getting hitched again to somebody I unhitched from."

These words echo what Stanley had said last year, specifically about reconnecting. He also previously stated, “There are things we don’t agree about and never will, [and] that’s okay. Maybe it goes back to what I said earlier: the best relationships understand the limitations of the relationships.”
