The loss of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray is one that still pangs the metal community. His role in the band was instrumental to their success, serving as one of their chief songwriters. Now, fans will have the opportunity to purchase pieces of Gray's Slipknot legacy at an April auction that will benefit his daughter, October.

The 'Paul Gray All Access Legacy Auction' will be hosted by Backstage Auctions, offering up basses Gray used while on tour, amps, cabinets, gear, apparel worn onstage including signature jumpsuits, set lists, tour itineraries, various signed items, personal passes, record award plaques and still more.

"It’s truly a privilege to be hosting this event especially knowing that it will benefit Paul’s daughter October," commented Backstage Auctions founder Jacques van Gool. “Each of the guitars and jumpsuits has their own story to tell and represent a significant element of Paul Gray’s touring and recording history. I have personally worked with Brenna Gray over the past 18 months and her final selection of items from Paul’s collection is amazing and truly honors Paul’s legacy. She has hand-picked items that will appeal to Paul Gray and Slipknot collectors all around the world."

The auction will run from April 1 through April 9 and a special VIP All Access Preview of everything up for auction will be able to be viewed online starting March 25. Fans the world over will be able to participate and more information including how to register can be found at the Backstage Auctions website.

Gray passed away on May 24, 2010 due to a morphine overdose. The bassist's widow, Brenna, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Dr. Daniel Baldi, Gray's pain doctor, in 2014 but it was ruled that the suit was filed beyond the statute of limitations, though a suit levied by his daughter, October, was allowed to proceed.
