In their new video, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart rocket back to the days of 2D animation and glam rock with the intergalactic cartoon exploits of ‘Until the Sun Explodes.’ You can watch it above.

In the video, frontman Kip Berman electrifies his group, turning them into Jem and the Holograms-style glam rockers. They find themselves in outer space decked out in their best Ziggy Stardust get-ups and a heart-shaped aircraft. And -- '80s nostalgia alert! -- they all giddily slide down a rainbow and perform on Saturn as their music lights up a neon music staff.

While the song's melody and lyrics somewhat recall the Cure's eternal 'Just Like Heaven,' it's poppy awesomeness all the same. All the video is really missing is a Jetson or two.
