Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has been given the ultimate honor and opportunity: he has been chosen to deliver the guest speech at Britain's prestigious Oxford University later this year.

Taylor, 37, who has been in the music world for most of his life, has been asked by the school's officials to take a short break from his schedule in order to travel to Britain to give a speech at one of the best schools in the world. According to Noisecreep:

I've been asked to speak at Oxford University, which is very ironic seeing as I didn't graduate from high school. They took a vote about who they would want to speak at their student union and I was the number one pick, apparently, so I was like, 'Yeah, OK, let's do this.' I'm probably going to swear and sweat a lot, said Taylor.

If I had to choose, he would be my number one choice for a guest speaker too. Who wouldn't want a musical icon such as Taylor to visit their school and give a speech?

I'm not sure what the speech is for or when it will be delivered, but as more information evolves I will keep you updated, and hopefully video footage will be availabe!

What do you think of this news? Do you think Taylor is a good choice for guest speaker?
