So much for a delicious chicken dinner.

Chicken is apparently the culprit in a big Salmonella outbreak that has hit 29 states.  Here's the big issue though (on top of just Salmonella)- according to News 10 abc, testing done showed that the Salmonella involved in the outbreak was resistant to multiple antibiotics.

People became so sick that they needed hospitalization, though luckily no one has died yet.  There's no single supplier that the outbreaks are related to, and News 10 abc reports that the outbreak strain has also been found in raw chicken pet food and products.  Yikes!  You can also get more info on they symptoms of Salmonella, if you're concerned at the official CDC page.
