No Doubt To Release First New Album In 11 Years [VIDEO]
There’s no doubt that rock/ska group No Doubt are long overdo for a new album. Fans have received little to no material from the quartet since 2001’s Rock Steady, which was certified platinum twice over in the U.S. Now, 11 years later, the group have come together once again and have announced that they will be releasing their sixth studio album on September 25.
The album, which marks the 25th year for the band, will be titled Ear Candy Coming Your Way!, and will be once again be released via Interscope Records. The band have been coming up with new material since 2008, but with the lives of four separate people taking priority, it took longer than usual for them to get a record going. However, they are back and posted the following announcement on their website:
We hope you like the new video and the big news – the new album will be out on September 25th. We are incredibly excited to share the new music with you. Ear candy coming your way!
We thought the big release date announcement and video deserved some new photos as well. We will debut a fresh new site and artwork closer to the album release but wanted to add some new photos in the meantime.
We also decided to update the way the site works a little bit so that all of the photos and messages that we Tweet will also be posted here at nodoubt.com. If you’re not yet following us on Twitter you can find us @nodoubt as well as at our personal accounts @gwenstefani, @AdrianYoungND, @TomDumontND and @tonykanal. You can follow us on Facebook as well.
Thank you all so much for your support over the last 25 years. We’re really proud of our new album and we hope you love it as much as we do. We’ll be posting a lot of updates between now and September as we shoot the video and start rehearsing to perform the new songs live for all of you. We’ll send plenty of photos and webisodes as we go so you’re there with us. See you soon… September 25th, 2012!
