No matter how much the fans call for even a tribute to Dimebag Darrell, Vinnie Paul says there is no way any kind of reunion is going to happen.

Vinnie Paul Abbott rocks pretty hard with his band HELLYEAH and is still one of the best drummers in hard rock and heavy metal.  Recently there has been a big push for a Pantera reunion concert by fans of the band and they would like to see Zakk Wylde on guitar.  Vinnie Paul has been very vocal in saying that it is not going to happen but has really driven his point home this time.

He wants to leave the Pantera legacy alone.  Plus he has no desire what so ever to play with Phil Anselmo ever again.  So despite how many facebook groups are started, you won't be getting a Pantera reunion/tribute anytime soon.

I agree with Vinnie Paul on this one because Dimebag was such a huge part of that band.  Plus I am willing to bet that the issue still stings.  It wasn't all that long ago that Dime was murdered on stage at a Damageplan show.  As a huge Pantera fan I have to say it would be cool to see a tribute to Dimebag in the future, but maybe Vinnie Paul isn't ready for that to happen yet.   It would be really cool to see some of the great rock guitar players step up to take on some of Dimes epic solos, but I don't know if Phil Anselmo will ever be welcome as long as Vinnie Paul is there.

So for now, no Pantera reunion.  It's just not going to happen.  But recently Vinnie Paul did get up on stage with Avenged Sevenfold and perform "Mouth For War" and it sounded awesome.  M. Shadows did a fantastic job on vocals and Synyster Gates ripped up the guitar parts.  I seriously love that everyone has the ability to shoot video whenever they want, otherwise we wouldn't all get to see this.
