NFL Week 17 – A Lot On The Line
Its the final week of the regular NFL season and for some teams it is do or die today.
Week 17 is very important to some teams today, mainly because several need to win today and they continue on into the playoffs. If not, enjoy the off season folks.
The Patriots, The Eagles, The Bears and The Chiefs have their divisions all wrapped up so they will likely be sitting most of their starters today. Atlanta who was the best team in the NFL has clinched a wild card spot but because New Orleans has been playing so well the NFC South is still on the line. The AFC North is also on the line today. Pittsburgh and Baltimore have both secured wild card spots. If the Steelers win against Cleveland, they win the division. If they lose and Baltimore wins, the Ravens would then take the division.
The Green Bay Packers control their own destiny today at home against Chicago. If they win, they're in. However if they lose, and Tampa Bay loses and the Giants pull out a win against the Redskins, the G-Men will make it in as a 6 seed. The Giants however need a lot to go right in order for this to happen. They take on the Redskins today at 4pm. Peyton Manning and the Colts also need a win to get in. They lead their division right now, but Jacksonville is right behind them. So if the Jags win and the Colts lose, Jacksonville is in and Peyton takes a seat after the regular season for the first time in a long time. Now we get to the saddest thing I have ever seen, the NFC West. The Rams and Seahawks play tonight and whoever wins, moves on. The only problem I have with this is that whoever wins still ends up with a losing record, and makes the playoffs!? Incredible. I just think that's an embarrassment to football.
So come out today and watch some drama unfold with me at the last Sunday football of the regular season with Q103 and Budlight. I'll be hanging at the The Best Damn Sports Bar in Albany, 1278 Broadway in Albany, from 1p-3p. Hope to see you there!
