In April New York State banned smoking in public parks, pools and historic sites.  Now that ban has been lifted because smokers rights groups are threatening.

Smokers can once again frolic in the parks while choking down nicotine and other harmful ingredients.   It's a temporary lift on a smoking ban in State Parks while New York State works out the details with smokers rights groups, who are not happy with the ban.

The smokers rights group has said that they will sue the state because they didn't look at the other side of things before instating the ban.  Now the state has backtracked.  They are however asking smokers to voluntarily not smoke in the previously banned public spots.
