New York Could Lose $14 Million If It Doesn’t Remove Highway Signs
It seems as it New York State is cooperating with federal officials to remove signs that at least to me don't seem to be too much of an issue.
I recall writing about these I Love NY highway signs some time ago. I remember the topic was whether they were illegal or not. Well, federal officials didn't use the term "illegal", but they do want the signs taken down. To show they mean business they are withholding $14 million from the state as a way to get NY to remove them.
The apparent reasoning seems to be that they are unnecessary distractions for drivers. I can certainly understand that.
Here is where you will get mad if you are not a fan of Cuomo, I mean and even if you are. So the state is now pulling these signs that the Governor had erected at a cost of $8 million. Well, the feds certainly are not paying for that.
