Well it looks like we will soon have quite a few new food options in Troy.

Man I am really go to have to make a conscious effort to spend a little more time in Troy with all these new things that keep popping up in the Collar City.

The latest announcement is the new food hall that will be going into the 12,000-square-foot space on the first floor of the Hedley Building wich is part of the $125 million Waterfront District project along the Hudson River in Troy. The food hall to be called The River Street Market will be modeled after the Chelsea Market in Manhattan and the Reading Market in Philadelphia and according to the TU will host a dozen

food, beverage and market concepts that provide a wide variety of farm-to-table quality providers

Actually the owners of Hooked in the Galleria 7 food hall in Latham have been tapped to run The River Street Market and plan to open up a new spot within the market called Lord & Montague, a wine and charcuterie (cheese) bar.

I kind of feel like this is a little similar to what the Troy Kitchen has been doing but that's not to say I won't go and check it out. Are you interested in a new Food Hall in Troy?
