New Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer

This. I have been waiting for this.

A much younger version of myself made a choice that has haunted me to this day. The Final Fantasy games were moving from Nintendo to Playstation, and the next game was like nothing we'd ever seen before. I actually sold my Super Nintendo and colletion of games to be able to buy a Playstation and a copy of Final Fantasy VII (luckily Santa took care of Tactics that year).

When the game came out, the graphics were out of this world spectacular, but would be laughed at by today's standards. Thankfully SquareEnix is finally doing the right thing and remaking the game. So far there have been some trailers that look nice and all, but if there's one thing I've learned from years of gaming, it is this: Don't buy a game where the commercial shows no game play. It's like they're not proud of the game they want you to buy. I'm not going to play the movie, so show me what the activity is actually going to look like.

The latest trailer for the remake of course highlights SquareEnix's awesome ability to do top notch CG, but wait, can this be true? There's gameplay footage, and it looks just like the awesome CG? This remake can't come out fast enough. Now I just need to get ready to figure out who's going to have the best pre-order deal...
