Wanna see what the Capital Region looked like going way back to the 1840's right up til today?

Travel back in time photographers lenses at a new Albany Institute exhibit. According to the Times Union, the exhibit features 170 years of Capital Region photos, dome dating as far back as the 1840's. The collection covers all sorts of subject matter taken through local camera lenses. Portraits, landscapes, buildings, industry, cars, trains, stores, parades, all are featured in the photographs on display. You'll find photos of the building of the State Capitol, the Blizzard of 1888, the 1911 fire all represented.

"Captured Moments: 170 Years of Photography at the Albany Institute" is happening at the Albany Institute on 125 Washington Ave in Albany through Albany 21. Ticket prices are $6-$10 and available at albanyinstitute.org or by calling 518-483-4478. A special speaking engagement happens this Sunday, April 30 at 2pm. Event is free with museum admission.
