I guess it’s really the big game of the night. And the biggest one they’ve had in Ann Arbor Michigan as it’s the first night time game the Wolverines have ever played. That will probably mean that the atmosphere will be even more electric that usual. Which is making it very hard to want to go with the Irish, but that’s what I’m doing. If you look at the 2 games last week, they were both about untimely turnovers. Notre Dame moved the ball fine up and down the field and outgained S. Fla by a whopping 254 yards! They just made mistakes in the red zone. And as far as Michigan goes, their score was not really as lopsided as it looked as they only outgained Western Michigan by a total of 9 yards. But they had a 94 yard fumble recovery for a TD and an interception return for another TD that was the real separation. If you combine what really happened in last week’s games and the fact that Notre Dame can’t afford to start 0-2 with their expectations and I think you’re looking at a win for the Irish. And here’s one more stat for you… Coach Kelly has a 3-0 record vs. Coach Hoke when they were leading Central Michigan and Ball State respectively.

I don't normally like to play favorites, and especially not on the road, but 3 1/2 point is small price to pay considering how misleading last week's final scores really were.

Go Irish!
