Mr. Ding-A-Ling made national headlines and even Late Night Talk Show news a few months back when he attacked a competing ice cream truck driver. Now, he is in the news again after being arrested Friday night.

Philip Hollister admitted to having "three or maybe four" drinks in the 30 minutes prior to him getting behind the wheel of his ice cream truck. While driving Hollister nearly hit head-on with a Fulton Country Sheriff's deputy on Route 123. He blood-alcohol content was 0.15 percent at the time of the arrest; which is nearly doubled the legal limit of 0.08 percent.

Hollister told the Times Union:

I was vending ice cream at the fireworks, and when it got done I went to a bar to have a few drinks. I wish I didn't do it. And I don't recommend it.

Shortly after his arrest, Hollister was fired as a Mr. Ding-A-Ling driver. He might be getting in to home remolding soon as he "could really use some work." Hollister is scheduled to face his charges in a hearing on August 15th.
