The 46th annual Super Bowl is just around the corner, and even though I'm not a sports fan whatsoever I'm sure this one will be huge and will eventually cause a riot in the losing city. The commercials are always a big, popular comic relief however, and this year one company is using big-time glam band Motley Crue in their ad. Oh, and it's geared toward the male fantasy, that's right, male fantasy.

The ad is for the automaker Kia, who have chosen the band to represent their brand for the 2012 Super Bowl. The reason it's pointed toward the male fantasy- famous super model Adriana Lima is also featured in the ad. I know, now you get it! Chuck Liddell, mixed martial arts fighter, will also be in the commercial.

The 60-second ad will be called "Drive the Dream," and will be exclusively advertising the Kia Optima Limited. The article states how it appeals to the male dream:

As we're dreaming at night, our true desires come out, says Michael Sprague, Kia Motors America head of marketing and communications.

The ad features Lima waving the checkered flag at a speedway, a MÖTLEY CRÜE concert, Chuck Liddell battling in the ring, a heroine and hunk on horseback in a romance novel setting, champion bull rider Judd Leffew taming a bucking rhinoceros, with the ending bringing a fairy tale atmosphere. Sprague calls it the ultimate man's dream yet is quick to add but it's not offensive to women, either.

The commercial will air before the actual Super Bowl, on February 2, on over 18,000 movie screens. Also, starting this Friday, Kia will run 15-second movie and television teasers featuring Lima just to get your blood boiling a bit and to make the wait unbearable.

Are you looking forward to the commercial? Do you think Motley Crue and Adriana Lima are a good pairing?
