When one is reported missing there are usually two outcomes: They come back fine, or it's a tragedy. You don't really hear of many people finding themselves during a search though.

56 year-old Annie Hubbard was reported missing back in June. Apparently she hit up the local Dollar General, then disappeared - or did she?

The Oneonta Police got a call on Tuesday. Someone had found Annie. So who was it that was closing this case? It was Annie herself. As it turns out, she was never missing at all.

It really makes you wonder how much of a search actually went into finding her. If she wasn't missing, did anyone think to maybe check her house? If they didn't actually go there, maybe they could have called her?

Glad Annie is safe, but perhaps the missing person department in Oneonta needs to rethink their strategy.
