Metallica Concert Injury

I’m not sure why the media, particularly the music business media are making such a bit deal out of this. The headline from Rolling Stone was that Metallica’s Kirk Hammett kicked a child on stage. They make it sound like he’s a mean old man kicking around kids!

Initially it was reported that the kid was the James Hetfield’s son but come to find out it was the daughter of the tour manager. Maybe. Supposedly.

Who cares.

It was an accident and the kid was fine. Let’s move on.

So how does a kid get kicked on stage during a Metallica show you may ask? Well, good question. There were balloons on the stage to add to the visual aspect of the performance of Seek and Destroy and the child was playing in the balloons.

Metallica? With balloons?

Whatever happened to pyrotechnics?
