Megadeth has been very busy the last few years.  The released one of the greatest albums of their storied career with End Game in 2009, toured with the Big Four and now have finally set a release date for their much anticipated 2011 album, TH1RT3EN.

Thrash metal fans can rest easy because one of the most legendary in the business has a brand new album on the way for 2011.  Megadeth has been working hard on their follow up to End game, and now TH1RT3EN has a release date of November 1.  It is going to be pretty tough to follow up End Game because it is regarded as one the best albums the band has ever put out.

Lead man and founder Dave Mustaine is very proud of the music on this album though:

This record is the culmination of my work over the 13 records I recorded. There are moments on it that capture my every emotion, and other moments where I am releasing feelings I never knew existed! My proudest moments of my musical career are captured on it.

Obviously the name TH1RT3EN comes from the fact that it will be the bands 13th album, but also from the fact that Dave Mustaine was born on September 13.
