Albany's Tulip Queen Finalists have been announced. The Tulip Queen will serve as Albany's Ambassador for a year.  She and her court will help in volunteer projects throughout the city and attend numerous events focusing on education and community awareness.  Each finalist had to be nominated as an extraordinary local leader and make it through a series of interviews in order to become the Tulip Queen.

The Queen is crowned in an elaborate coronation ceremony at Tulip Festival Saturday. She will receive a $5,000 scholarship, and each Court member $1,500. The 64th Annual Albany Tulip Festival will be held on May 12 & 13, 2012.
