As if they've been whisked away to an alternate dimension, Marvel games have disappeared from many digital download services.

According to an article on IGN, many Marvel games published by Activision and Capcom have been taken down from services like Steam, the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The disappearances are due to the expiration of their licensing contacts.

Some of the titles affected are Deadpool, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, X-Men: Origins - Wolverine, X-Men: Destiny, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and X-Men the Official Game.

We've yet to hear whether or not Marvel will seek other distribution options, but we'll keep you up-to-date if anything regarding these games is announced.
