Marching Elephants Coming To Albany!
Make room and move out of the way, elephants are coming! Tomorrow morning, elephants and horses are scheduled to march through the streets of Albany, marking the arrival of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey's circus to the Times Union Center.
According to the Times Union, the circus, which is celebrating its 140th year this year, will be taking place at Albany's TU Center on May 5-8, and it's traditional to have a parade of elephants and horses before the circus starts. The parade begins at the Port of Albany and will end at the Center.
The parade is scheduled to start early in the morning, at 6:30 am. Circus promoters said the time could change however, as it has in past years. It will be interesting to see when it actually does start, and how many people will wake up not long after the crack of dawn to watch the parade.
The band of animals will be led by an Albany Aqua Ducks tour bus which will be filled with the performers and other talent of the circus.
I remember going to the circus once when I was little and my sister and I got our picture taken with a huge snake around our necks! The circus is a huge event that every kid has and should experience, so if your little ones haven't been to it yet, now is your chance! Go here to get your tickets!
Have you ever been to the circus? Did you enjoy it?
