For about the millionth time, Lars Ulrich of Metallica is letting fans know that Lulu is not a Metallica album, so don't don't expect that.   Both Lars and Lou Reed talked with USA Today about the albums release and Reed revealed that he has been receiving death threats from Metallica fans because of the album.

Metallica's fans are threatening to shoot me, and that's only because I showed up.  They haven't even heard the record yet, and they're recommending various forms of torture and death.

-Lou Reed

They both continue to defend the album.  Lars is telling fans not to freak out and it's just a "one off" and not the new sound of the band.  Reed says he isn't worried because he "doesn't have any fans" left anyway.
